The mission of the Saluda Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, Inc. shall be the preservation of life and property from loss injury, and/or damage from fire, accident, weather, disasters either natural or man-made, acts of God or any peril or danger. It shall also be to improve the quality of life in the Saluda Community, Polk or Henderson County, North Carolina or the United States. The Department may use personnel, vehicles, equipment, and resources in the execution of this mission and all other activities as may be required by law or regulations adopted under law. The Department may cooperate with other organizations engaged in similar activities. The Department may engage in Fire, Rescue, Emergency Medical, & Public Service Operations to fulfill the above mission statement.
